Anipal Dating Game – Iggy Style

Do you remember when I blogged about Vincent Rocket earlier this year? Vincent is a beautiful Italian Greyhound, and one of my good friends on Twitter.

Casey

He and I have teamed together to find himself a beautiful girlfriend, and to raise money for Casey – a poor Iggy who has been in foster care with IGCA (Italian Greyhound Club of America) Rescue Indiana since March 2010.

When Casey was saved by IGCA Rescue, he was in poor shape. His previous owners had tied him to a table leg for over 16 hours every day with a wire cable! One day, he ended up getting tangled up in the wire and his penis was nearly cut off. After he was rescued, he did end up losing his man-parts and needing his plumbing to be re-routed.

A few months after that, the vet diagnosed poor Casey with hemolytic anemia – an autoimmune disease, in which his immune system mistakenly attacks and kills healthy red blood cells. This form of anemia can end up killing the dog, if it is not properly controlled. Because of this condition, Casey’s medical bills have racked up, due to complications and other illnesses due to his weakened immune system.

Are you ready to meet the Bachelorettes? We have six girls who want to become Vincent’s one and only. Vincent asked some very important questions, and the ladies answers. Please vote on the bachelorette that you like the most.

1. Jess the Springer

Jess is an 18-month-old English Springer Spaniel from Birmingham in the UK. She is the sister of Molly the Yorkie, who is a close friend of mine.

This is what the beautiful Jess had to say about herself…

“My hoomins get me cos I was going to be taken to da local dog shelter and mummy did hear that and saved me. It was wuff at first sight; I am a mummy’s girl!

I am an English Springer Spaniel. I am weally wuffly; play is my favourite fing to do and my ball is my reason to get out of bed in da morning.  I am very kind and caring to everyfur.”

I fink Vincent you should goes on a date wiv me cos I am a fun and lighthearted. I have a pawsome sense of humour and is a good larf.  I knows how to treat da male doggies well and is not a player!

Q. Wot iz your idea of a perfect date wif me?

I finks dat we could go for a strolls along da beach paws in paws and a moonlight swim togefur and den has champagne and strawberries on da beach and as we are boff into dancing and pawty’s go to da local hotspot (nipclub) and shimmy our paws togefur all night.

Q. Wot iz your favorite animal charity and why?

My favourite animal charity dus be da RSPCA (Royal Society of Protection of Cruelty to Anipals) cos day do great work in da UK, and day cames to my sisfur (Molly) rescue when she was beated up so badly.  They care about all anipals no matter how small or big and day are always weally helpful.

Q. Do you like to dance, and if you do, does you like to dance fast or slow?

I wuffs to dance. I has to admit, though Vincent, I not had a lot of pawractice on da slow stuff but hopawfully that will change. *Blush.* I likes to dance fast, though. I give you a quick demo *wiggle wiggle shimmy slide wiggle*

Q. Does size matter to you?

Not in da slightest. I am rather a big doggy, but my fursibs are very small and my brofur was accused of being a tubby doggy by da vet (he was so pawroud of dat day). I loves all anipals regardless of size, colour or breed.

Q. I iz looking for a doggie girlfriend who is lighthearted and funny, with a silly sense of humor, who is compassionate and caring, has a great imagination, loves adventures, and likes to dance and party. Does this sound like you? Please explain why.

This definitely sounds like me.  I has a pawsome sense of humour, but am also very caring and loving.  If my fursibs are sick, I dus sit wiv dem till they dus be better and I has a big heart.  I wuffs adventure (I am, after all, a springer). I would love to have pawventures wiv somefur who is dat someone speshul and I love to wiggle da booty!

Q. What makes you better than all the other doggie bachelorettes and why?

I wouldn’t likes to say I am better dan da other bachlorettes, but I dus has a liccle sparkle in my eyes and a lot of get up and go!

2. Minnie Cuteness 

Minnie is a cute lil Chihuahua with a big personality from Maryland in the USA. She lives with three other fur-family and her humans.

This is what the adorable Minnie has to say about herself…

“I will be 4 September 15, 2012 (almost 28 in human years), which is young enough to enjoy but old enough to know better.  I am a pure bread chihuahua, which makes me a hot tamale.

I was born right into the hands of my humans and still live at the same house as the day I was born.  My real fur momma was adopted and was pregnant with me at the time, but nobody knew and voila here I am.  I’m cute but cuddly and my picture says it all.”

I am adventuresome and I will keep you on your paw pads. I love chasing the squirrels and would love to have a backup man.

Q. Wot iz your idea of a perfect date wif me?

Our first date should be just getting to know each other in the dog park. A sniff there, a sniff here. Barking and running would be my idea of a first date.

Q. Wot iz your favorite animal charity and why?

My favorite charity is a place called “House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary.” This home takes in the older pets who have been abandoned due to many situations, such as owner passed away, owner can no longer care for the senior pet due to financial reasons, medical reasons, etc.  These poor sweet seniors are abandoned at shelters and left alone after being part of a family for years. House with a Heart takes them in a loves them and cares for them until they pass over to rainbow bridge. They have been on the local news in the Washington DC area because of how wonderful they are.  Check them out – it will tug at your heart.

Q. Do you like to dance, and if you do, does you like to dance fast or slow?

I love to dance, and I think I would be a fast dancer to help me keep fit for my squirrel chasing.

Q. Does size matter to you?

It depends on the size of the what you are asking about (wink wink).

Oh, it sure does sound like me.

I love to play jokes on my humans, like showing them how I got up on the dinner table to eat their barbecue when I’m only 10 inches tall!

I’m compassionate with spreading the word on adoption and putting those awful puppy mills out of business.

I care about my humans and my fur mommy and daddy and sister, and I keep their ears cleaned when they get dirty!

Q. What makes you better than all the other doggie bachelorettes and why?

I don’t think I’m better than the others; I just feel that with me you get a small package with a big zest for life and living.

3. Rusty Linda

Rusty is a beautiful female miniature pinscher born on October 2, 2003 in Connecticut. She is obsessed with her mom, loves her dad and all of her Twitter friends! (She loves looking at her anipal friends cute pictures! WOOF!)

This is Rusty Linda’s story in her own words…

“Mom and Dad got me from a breeder listed at AKC, and they were thrilled that I was  8-9 weeks old, ready to leave my doggie mom! So they drove to Connecticut to get me. Mom brought bones for me, my fur brother and sis, but I took all the bones and ran with them. BOL!

Then mom picked me up and I kissed her. It was pure love!

Because my mom is a choreographer, I’m never alone. Wherever she goes, I go, so I’m always in studios, theaters, and I travel everywhere. That’s how I’m in two music videos, commercials, and I also did some modeling.

My favorite thing is when we go to Brazil for christmas (mom is Brazilian so we go to hang with grandpa and grandma)!!

I have a liver disorder but I choose not to talk about it, cause it’s not fun and I’m all about fun!”

Cause I have lots of energy, love dancing, going out for walks, and looking for squirrels and bunny rabbits. And I can eat a lot – no salads for me!!! Oh yes, I’m a cute dog with long ears and I have big boobs. Hehe!

Q. Wot iz your idea of a perfect date wif me?

Perfect date for me is who you’re with and not where you go, so I would be happy just being next to you. Wink wink.

But if I was to take you somewhere, I would dress up as “Wonder Doggie”and take you to your favorite park so we can have fun – ZOOMIES time!!! Then I would take you to the beach and we can play with some beach toys there. Later we would have a candlelight dinner by the water, I would serve you some steak with bacon on top and for dessert – chobani with blueberries!

Then if you invite me over to your house, I would love to play wif Gino and would be honored to wear a little bell.

Q. Wot iz your favorite animal charity and why?

Mommy likes Bideawee, cause my sister’s trainer was from there and she found out how they adopt their pets and that they have a program that if their owner dies, they take care of the pet! How beautiful is that!

Last Sunday, May 6th, we did the Bark4life walk with mom’s friend that owns Charlie Chews. They donated tons of treats for the walk and the money goes to the American Cancer Society.

Q. Do you like to dance, and if you do, does you like to dance fast or slow?

LOVE to dance, love to dance fast. My mom thought me everything I know, but if i’m with Vincent and if the mood calls, I wouldn’t mind dancing sloooow wif him.

Q. Does size matter to you?

Yes. I wouldn’t go out with a German Shepherd or a Rottweiler, cause I look too small. I’m innocent … hopefully that is what you meant!

I’m not better than any of my friends; it’s about our chemistry and what he wants in a doggie. Snaps paw.

4. Rosie Terrier 

The lovely Rosie is a 3-year-old terrier mix with perky ears and mischievous cheeks. She didn’t have the best start in life, but now her life is wonderful.

Rosie Terrier’s story from her own barker…

“My mum and dad had Tessa, my sisfur. They saw me at The Birmingham Dogs Home and I played with them and lay down for a tummy tickle. They fell in love so I went home with them. That was 2 and a half years ago.

I am very very naughty and extremely skilled at climbing large pieces of furniture to get a toy. I am very intelligent but had a bad start in life. Happily my life is now wonderful.  I loves my sisfur and my mum and dad.”

You should go on a date with me because I is good fun and very very skilled at ‘obtaining’ da noms. You will enjoy eating food stuffs you never had before!  Also I is always chirpy and my tail is enchanting.

Q. Wot iz your idea of a perfect date wif me?

Hmmmmmm – a perfect date with you would be a lovely run in a forest glade with lots of rabbits to chase and wild blueberries to gorge on. We would dance to the streams of music of a nearby disco and then walk side by side, paw in paw, to a feast of Chobani followed by a lovely cosy nap. (Sigh)

Q. Wot iz your favorite animal charity and why?

My favourite anipal charity is the UK’s Cinammon Trust. They provide care homes for older people where they can take their pets (This is unusual in UK). They also organise volunteers to walk older people’s dogs, so dogs and owners can stay together. This is my favourite charity as I can’t imagine much sadder things than a dog and it’s mum and dad being parted near the end of their lives.

Q. Do you like to dance, and if you do, does you like to dance fast or slow?

Yes, please. Fast, slow any pace – depending on mood/ music/ moment.

Q. Does size matter to you?

 Size – of course it matters – a steak’s gotta be big n chunky! But when it comes to boy dogs, it’s what’s inside that matters. So no, not at all.

Hee Hee. I am all of these things! You only have to read my Twitter posties!  BOL -see I must be – I am a dog that tweets!!  Plus I showed Vincent how to make the best ‘pleading face’ for pigs ears 😉

I is not better – we is all gorgeous. But I is an English Rose just ready and waiting to have funs with Vincenzo, and I would feel very very sad to see him with another girly ;-(.

5. Madeline (Little Cakees)

Little Cakees is a sweet-faced Yorkshire Terrier who is always ready to give love to everyone. She is one of the cutest Yorkies on Twitter.

“My name is Madeline, but I’d like you to call me Little Cakees or just Cakees. I am nine years young and I am in great shapee! I am a Yorkshire Terrier, a small doggie with a great big HEART!

My sissee pick out and brought me home . . . momee was upset because she never in her lifee had a doggie … I am now the lovee of both their hearts! Momee and I do everything together!

And Guess What? My momee now lovee all anipals!!!  Not onlee momee and sisee, Lizzee lovee me but all other peoplees and doggees who meet me. They say I am adorablee..I just want to please all!!”

To go for walkee at the park, eatee ice cream drippees from the ground, chase the birdees and get a couple bellee rubs while layee in the suneeshine ’til we fall asleep.

Q. Wot iz your favorite animal charity and why?

Humane Society. They helpee manee of our anipals in different ways. For instancee, a local gang was brokee up because they were using pit bull doggees for fightee … also, they had manee of their babees raising them to fight. So Sad! Now they are lookee for homes for the babee doggees.. YIPPEE!! for the HUMANE SOCIETY!! HAPPEE DAY!!

Q. Do you like to dance, and if you do, does you like to dance fast or slow?

Lovee to dance reallee fast, just likee I run!! Paw tap, spin, shakee it up, paw tap, spin.. Dance the nightee away!

Q. Does size matter to you?

Yes, I takee the size of my TREATS  veree seriouslee!

Q. I iz looking for a doggie girlfriend who is lighthearted and funny, with a silly sense of humor, who is compassionate and caring, has a great imagination, loves adventures, and likes to dance and party. Does this sound like you? Please explain why. 

I am veree sillee and funnee (have you seen me in my shades on facee book?) I lovee to make evereeone happee and smile! I travel all over and had many adventures from the sunnee beaches of Florida to the big mountains of Colorado!

Q. What makes you better than all the other doggie bachelorettes and why?

Because I feisty and playful when the timee is right but quiet and snugglee at night. Plus I am a gurlee that enjoys a nicee steak with a healthee appetitee. How can you not lovee that?

6. Daffy

Daffy is a beautiful Toy Fox Rescue Girl who is scared of most everything, due to her bad past. She has a Fraidy Closet, and she loves chasing storms though!
