Oh my goodness, I can hardly believe how fast my Gracie has grown up. Since I see her every day, I didn’t notice how quickly she was growing until this past weekend. Before I got her, I went out to the local pet store and went on a shopping spree of everything and anything I might need — crate, dog bed, toys, food, bowls, etc. I also bought her a few outfits.
She hasn’t been able to fit any of her outfits . . . until now. She used to be so teenie-tiny!!!
The “sweetie” hoodie outfit finally fits her. It makes her look very thin, and I think she’s simply adorable. I especially love placing the hoodie on her head. Too bad she doesn’t like it so much. Here is Gracie in her new outfit.
When I first got Gracie, she was 6 weeks old and less than 1 pound. Now, she’s 13 weeks old, and she’s a whopping 4 pounds! I’m just wowed at how big she’s getting! I’m guessing she’ll be around 7 or 8 pounds full-grown. But I still love her to pieces

That's such a cute picture of Gracie sleeping on the keyboard. 😀
Puppies will go into growth spurts where all of a sudden they will grow length wise and then fill in, just like little kids.
Every breed is a little different, but my vet told us when Penny was 5 months old that you could estimate the adult size by doubling their weight. Penny was around 5 lbs at 5 months so our vet guesstimated she'd be a little under 10 lbs.
The formula must work because now at 15 months, Penny's weight is right under 10 lbs.
I read online that you can calculate a shih tzu's adult size by multiplying their 8 week weight by 3.5. Gracie's mom and dad were on the smaller size so I think she may be under ten lbs.. But you never know. It will be interesting to see how she grows!
Oh my gosh, she is sooo cute! I just LOVE this breed in all their fluffy soft wonder.
Brownie is 15weeks (our puppies are a week apart!) and she weighs 6.5 whooping lbs! She is a butterball butt!
Her dad was 15lbs and her mom 10lbs, so she will be a good 10lbs I'm sure.
For us, that works perfect since two of the girls are little and they like to carry her around.
I think Gracie will be smaller, then. Her mom was 6 lbs and I think her dad was under 10 lbs. SO I think she'll be in that range… They were both healthy dogs though. Very hyper active. Just like their baby! LoL.
