Shame on Mama – She Forgot My Outfit for the Vietnamese New Year!

As you know… I am a Vietnamese-American doggie. This means that I celebrate all the major holidays with my mom, wearing a cute outfit of some kind to celebrate it. On Monday, it is the official start of the Tet, the Vietnamese New Year (also the Chinese New Year, but we are a Vietnamese family). It is the Year of the Dragon – which makes this upcoming year extra special, since legend has it that the Vietnamese people are the offspring of dragons…

But I am just so unhappy because my Mama forgot to buy my present for Tet, the Vietnamese New Year. How dare she forget about me?! Last year, she saw this dog on Facebook wearing a special Asian outfit, and she was determined to get me on for Tet this year… But NO…. She completely forgot about it. I mean… How could you forget something as special as me.

When Mama wasn’t looking, I went on her computer and started Googling stuffs. I found this really cute outfit, and I hope that she doesn’t forget to buy it for me next year.

Don’t you think it’s super cutes? It’s only like $30 from this special online shop that sells pet clothes. I think it’s stylish, and since I am a bonafide fashionista, I should get to wear it. But I guess the poodle model is cute, too.

 

Anyway, I am just so bummed. Mama says she promises to make it up to me. She says she will go to Petco or Pet Smart and try to find an outfit that is a reasonable price for me to wear on the special day… But I don’t think I care to dress up for the New Year anyway. I am so bummed.

How cute would I have looked in that outfit? Shame on you, Mama. I am mad.

Maybe I won’t go to the potty outside, and I’ll potty next to your bed… so when you wake up you’ll have a nice, smelly surprise underneath your feet. Hehehe…
